Dear Students,

The NU Academic Advising Office is recruiting sophomore, junior, and senior students to join the AAO Tutoring program for Spring 2025.

About AAO Tutors:

Assist freshmen in active learning and critical thinking for CHEM102, PHYS162, CSCI152, and MATH162.
Conduct one-on-one and group meetings to teach course content.
Hold regular office hours, answer questions in course Telegram chats, and lead exam preparation sessions.
Collaborate with the AAO Team on academic and non-academic events.
Eligibility:

1) Sophomore, junior, or senior in the 2024-2025 academic year.
2) CGPA: 3.33 or above.
3) No misconduct records or academic probation in the last semester.
4) Prior tutoring/teaching experience is a plus.
To become part of the AAO Tutoring, join the AAO Staff, and work on improving the freshman experience, please apply using the following link

This is a reminder: there is no use of sending the extra place forms at this point. You know that extra place processing period is in January only, and those forms now will be rejected anyway. As it was mentioned before, you need to get Instructors permission prior to sending the extra place form.

Open Live Session for 2nd Priority Registration

Dear Students, during the Registration days, we will have Open Live Sessions during the 1st priority registration and 2nd priority registration. The purpose of these sessions is to be available for your quick questions. You can join the online session anytime during the indicated hours to ask your questions and leave when you're done. The session will be available today from 14:00 to 16:00.

If you want to take 36 credits you need a GPA of 3.2 or higher, except in cases where the academic handbook already requires 36 credits, regardless of GPA.

Dear All,
Let us remind you that we have the following registration forms available for your use.

1. Priority override form - in case you want to have a priority for the course and you were not even included in the priorities. Not guaranteed you can get it approved.

2. Retake permission form - in case your grade for the course is C+, C, C- but you still want to retake the course (e.g. to confirm Economics major, which requires to have B- for major courses), then submit the retake permission form because otherwise, the system won't allow you to register for the course. In case your grade is a D or F, the system allows you to register for the course automatically.
