Dear students!

For many of you, the hardest part is now over: most of you have submitted applications and are waiting to hear back; some of you have already received admission decisions, and some of you are already studying at the university of your dreams in the USA.

Your dedication, perseverance and dreams inspire us every day.

We ask that you take a moment - just 3-5 minutes - to complete a short survey. Your answers will help us better understand what aspects of the enrolment process have been most challenging for you and where you may need further support.

Remember, we are here for you regardless of your enrolment outcome. Your success to us is not only about successful enrolment, but also about ensuring that we are able to support and assist you every step of the way.

Hey there! I’m Lina, a high school senior at Galaxy International School. Happy to share that I’ve accepted my offer to Miami University as a Presidential Fellow and Honors Student, majoring in Architecture with a co-major in Sustainability!

Miami University, one of the eight original Public Ivies, has awarded me a full-ride, merit-based scholarship worth $265,000, covering everything plus a $5,000 enrichment stipend. Only 19 students out of 2,600 received this scholarship last year!

Fun fact: After getting my Miami offer in February, I withdrew almost all my other applications, though I also got into the American University in Paris with a scholarship.

I believe my well-rounded portfolio helped me secure these scholarships. My activities include launching nano-satellites, leading the art club, being Global Finalists in the NASA Space Apps Challenge, researching with a UVA professor, completing Cornell’s Pre-College Program, and volunteering with UNICEF for two years.

I would like to express my gratitude to EdUSA for all the resources they provided, and special thanks to Miss Dana and Miss Ainur for helping me polish my application!

I am beyond grateful to my mom, family, friends, and teachers, who were my biggest source of support during the application season!

Good luck to everyone! Remember, fear kills more dreams than failure ever will.

Feel free to reach out to me @avoueley.
