to increase, a rise, to climb, to improve, recover.
↘️ вниз
a fall, decrease, drop, plunge, plummet, decline, deteriorate.
➡️ стабильно
remain, steady, level off, plateau.
• “Plummet” is the strongest word here. It means to fall very quickly and a long way.
• “Drop” is normally used for fairly small decreases
• “Climb” is a relatively neutral verb
• “steady” stable
• “plateau” reach a state of little or no change after a period of activity or progress. (ex.: the graph reached a plateau”)
• “plunge” quick drop down
adjectives of degree:
dramatic, sharp, abrupt, rapid, spectacular, significant.
• sharp can be used for relatively minor changes that happen quickly
• “spectacular” and “dramatic” are very strong words only used for big changes.
