The problem with the Dune movies is that they should be a TV series.

Back in 1997, the best action movie of the 90's Face/Off was released.

The idea of the movie alone is worth it, to swap lives with a sworn enemy.

The action scenes, drama and soundtrack are top-notch.

A special mention should be made of the leading role actors performance and their contribution to the characters.

Nicolas Cage and John Travolta spent two weeks together before filming to learn how to play each other. They decided on specific gestures and vocal cadences for each character that could be mimicked.

Watching the movie in 2024 and realizing it's still the best in its genre.

Джеймс Камерон конечно Стив Джобс мира кино. Доводит каждую техническую деталь до совершенства. Но в кино, в отличие от гаджетов, есть еще сюжет.

На протяжении фильма возникает много вопросов к происходящему, что мешает полностью погрузиться и наслаждаться миром Пандоры. Можно было смело сократить хронометраж на час, и ничего бы не поменялось.

А еще жаль, что герои перестали говорить на языке Na’Vi, как в первом фильме.

Тор: Любовь и гром

Уже лет десять как Marvel поставил на поток свои фильмы и сериалы, вместо того, чтобы сделать небольшую паузу, сесть и подумать об улучшении качества выпускаемого продукта.

Новый Тор не спасают ни бюджет, ни шутки, ни спецэффекты, ни Бэйл с Гладиатором.

Marvel не могут понять, что в долгосрочном плане важнее - качество продукта (нормальный сюжет, проработанные персонажи), а не "урвать здесь и сейчас".

Пример тому - Темный рыцарь. Видно, что ребята постарались, можно хоть каждый год пересматривать. Если Нолан сейчас объявит "буду снимать 4-ю часть" - все пойдут в кинотеатры, потому что вспомнят Темный рыцарь.

А что вспоминать у Marvel из огромного числа картин?

Ничего..кроме первого Железного Человека, из-за которого народ до сих пор на автопилоте ходит в кино в надежде, что среди всей этой шелухи найдется нечто похожее.

Toп Ган: Мэверик.

Честно говоря, трейлер особо не зацепил. Но потом начали всплывать новости, что были 5 или 6 минутные овации на Каннском фестивале, что фильм собирает хорошую кассу, и наконец, высокий рейтинг на IMDB (выше 8).

Решил глянуть — и не пожалел. За красивой картинкой, музыкой маэстро [Hans Zimmer], впечатляюще снятыми небесными трюками и нестареющей улыбкой Тома прослеживается всего один, но цепляющий до самого конца вопрос — что делать, когда твое время прошло?

Оценка: 8/10
